Christmas is something that I anticipate a lot, not only it is the birthday of Jesus Christ but the cheers and merriness it brings to everyone. Aside from the Christmas rush, I find myself thinking of the true essence of this season. I am sure it is not just the gifts and parties or even the hustle and bustle of the people, the extended Christmas Vacation for students, the puto bumbong and simbang gabi.
I believe it is just a part of the bigger picture. Better yet, Christmas could be anything and everything we want it to be. It could be someone’s way to finally get his much awaited gift from his parents. It could be someone’s reason to finally spend time with his family that he hasn’t seen for years.
Whenever Christmas is coming, I would anticipate the reunions and the get together. The warm and fuzzy feeling the season would give. The feeling of being over the clouds and beyond, flying away and getting to see a lot of places and experience a lot of things. For me, Christmas is for everybody whether good or bad. It could be high or low, near or far.
